In the aftermath of the catastrophic 1939 Türkiye earthquake, Prosecutor İzzet Akçal and a group of prisoners unite to save the lives of those buried under the rubble.

After the devastating 1939 Erzincan earthquake in Eastern Türkiye, young prosecutor İzzet Akçal joins forces with prisoners from the local jail to rescue people trapped beneath the rubble. As the rescue efforts unfold, Akçal’s sense of justice, his view of criminals, and his faith in human nature undergo a profound transformation. Journalist Sinan Seyfi witnesses these events, shedding light on both İzzet’s personal journey and the stories of the prisoners who took part in the rescue. Years later, in 1960, Sinan’s path crosses with İzzet once again; this time as the former prosecutor stands trial before a coup court.
