It was the first time in history that two people declared war on a state and fought (in 1912). With “TWO TURKS IN AUSTRALIA”.
IT IS AN EPIC of TWO TURKS.
“The year was 1912, the British invaded India, the king of India asked for help from the Ottomans. The Ottoman Empire, which had been at war for years, did not leave this aid unrequited and sent a military unit of 350 people to India by ship.
About 20 of the 350-man unit were martyred on the road due to illness, and the remaining Ottoman soldiers landed in India and started fighting the British. The Ottoman soldiers, who were limited in terms of ammunition, were defeated by the technologically equipped British soldiers after a few days of struggle, and about 40 of them were captured and the others were martyred in the war. After the war ended, the British started to make these 40 Ottoman captive soldiers work on the ships.
When a British ship arrived in Australia, two captured Ottoman soldiers found a way to escape from the ship. After a while, the man named Mentesoglu Abdullah from the Black Sea region, did ice cream business like his father did. Tarakcioglu Mehmet, from the land of Karahisar, started working as a butcher as his father did. In 1918, Australia landed troops in Canakkale and our two Ottoman soldiers heard about the incident and immediately met and evaluated the situation.
“We are Ottoman soldiers and we live in Australia. The Australian state declared war on the Ottoman Empire and invaded our country, so they say ‘let’s declare war on the Australian state’.”
They take a paper and pen and write:
“His Excellency the President of Australia, we, two Ottoman soldiers, are in your country. We heard that you, as the Australian state, declared war on our state, the Ottoman Empire and you sent soldiers to Çanakkale. For this reason, we, as two Ottoman soldiers, have declared war on the Australian state. This is an Ottoman war decree. It is announced for the information of Your Excellency. Tarakcioglu Mehmet from the land of Karahisar and Mentesoglu Abdullah from the land of the Black Sea. ”
Two Ottoman soldiers, in the region called Karlidaglar, 250 km away from Sydney, first overturned 3 trains by dismantling the train tracks on the bends, and they armed themselves by finding military ammunition in the third train.
They raided 8 police stations in the same area and shot all the soldiers in the police stations. Unable to figure out what had happened, the Australian state finally remembered the letter written by two Ottoman soldiers and sent about 250 soldiers to the area where the letter was sent, and the two Ottoman soldiers began to be investigated. After a few days of research, a conflict broke out and two Ottoman soldiers were martyred in the Karlidaglar.
The graves of the two soldiers are in Karlidaglar, 250 km away from Sydney, and it is forbidden to take photos at their graves. The Australians call these soldiers of Indian origin because they cannot stand saying they fought against two Ottoman soldiers. However, in India there is neither the land of Karahisar nor the region of the Black Sea…”
